RESIDENT STRUCTURE
All structure is phase specific- see phase requirements.
As residents meet the requirements of each phase they progress through the program, accepting and meeting more responsibility with each phase. Accountability groups and staff meetings are used to verify that each resident has met phase requirements before they can phase up. The following are requirements for each resident:
Attain a sponsor and begin working the steps within 2 weeks.
Adhere to curfews.
Maintain a clean and organized apartment daily.
Be on time and presentable for all groups and meetings.
Establish employment within 6 weeks.
Attend 12-step meetings on designated days (depending on location)
Attend accountability groups.
Residents with relapse history attend a relapse prevention group.
Phase 1 residents must sign up and attend assigned meetings on the Phase 1 meeting board. There must be at least one Phase 2 with the group. All phase 2 or 3 residents are required to volunteer to accompany Phase 1 residents to meetings at least once a week.
Submit to drug testing. Phase 1's are tested once a week, Phase 2 or greater twice a month. Drug testing will be used anytime a resident is acting suspicious or fails to follow guidelines, and as needed for the safety of the community.
Sign in and out when they leave and return to property.
All Phase 1 residents with vehicles must check their keys in with staff and follow the recommended guidelines for using their vehicle.
PHASE REQUIREMENTS
Each phase is intended to help our residents make progress in their recovery while enhancing the change process. The following is a description of each phase's general requirements.
Phase 1
Minimum 6 weeks
Must complete any recommended treatment from referring ageny
Must obtain a sponsor.
Must complete steps one, two and three and start step four with a sponsor.
Must obtain employment, volunteer, or school for a minimum of 25 hours per week (depending on location)
Must adhere to all resident guidelines.
Sign in and out any time leaving property. Must see staff face to face for approval before leaving.
Checking vehicle keys in and out anytime leaving the property.
Adhering to nightly curfew.
Adhering to assigned meetings throughout Phase 1.
Adhering to previously discussed rules and regulations from the handbook.
Phase 2
Minimum 6 weeks
Must continue any treatment recommendations from referring agency.
Must complete steps four and five with sponsor.
Must complete one community service project.
Must assist Phase 1 residents to and from meetings and other outings.
Must attend therapy bi-weekly (depending on location).
Must adhere to all resident guidelines.
Phase 3
Minimum 12 weeks
Must continue any treatment recommendations from referring agency.
Must complete steps six through ten with sponsor.
Must complete one community service project (depending on location).
Must assist Phase 1 residents to and from meetings and other outings.
Serve as Senior resident for their group for 30 days (depending on location).
Must attend therapy bi-weekly (depending on location).
Must adhere to all resident guidelines.
Phase 4
Live offsite in phase 4 housing
Continue any treatment recommendations from referring agency.
Complete and continue to practice steps 11 through 12 with sponsor.
Attend weekly sponsorship workshops.
Assist residents with meeting attendance and with other outings.
